As God commanded to let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters to separate water from water, it was done according to His Word. God called this firmament Heaven. In today’s Scripture passage, God is explaining how on the second day of creation He divided the water that was under the firmament from the water that was above it. Originally, there was a single body of water that covered the planet earth, but God made a firmament and separated the water above the firmament from the water on the earth.
